Dave McGarry is the guitarist of the band The Violent, former guitarist of Red Sun Rising and a close friend of mine for the past 20 years. His new band The Violent recently broke the top 50 and continues to climb the chart with their recent release of The Doors classic, "People Are Strange".
We talked about the transition from Red Sun Rising to The Violent and how the band adapted to create new music during the pandemic. We also talked about how their "People Are Strange" cover came together and what he and the band have in store for 2022, along with a host of other things.

Jon Luna is an adaptive athlete who competes in CrossFit competitions and is a former professional wheelchair basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs Organization. Jon lost his leg due to Osteosarcoma, a bone cancer in his hip when he was 19 years old.
In addition to his focus in CrossFit, Jon is also the founder of Bigfoot's Fabrication, a fabrication shop that ranges from wood furniture to carbon prosthetics.

Josh Duntz is a Navy Special Operations veteran who was a member of the Navy's elite EOD unit which specialize in performing missions neutralizing explosive weapons in almost every environment while ensuring safe passage of troops in combat zones.
In addition to his 10 years of military service, Josh has also done extensive work with an organization called Shift since his exit from the Navy, which is focused on matching veterans who are looking for employment opportunities in civilian life with companies who are looking to hire veterans.
He is also the co-founder of a company called Stasis, which is focused on optimizing health and performance through one of the most powerful things humans have at their disposal…their breath.
We had a great conversation about his journey through the Navy, his transition into civilian life and his passions around optimizing performance and reducing stress through breathing techniques.

Kody Steele is an up and coming jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts star from Austin, TX, recently competing in the ADCC east coast trials where he took 3rd place in his division but garnered the attention of many in the jiu jitsu community for his electric style of competing which includes a mix of powerful takedowns and gravity defying slams that leave his competitors unsure of what direction is up and down.
We talked about his rise through BJJ, competing at this years ADCC trials, the importance of having a strong coach and mentor and his drive to become the best at what he does.
