Ep. 32: Ty Empey - Rock Bottom to Recovery

Ty Empey is a friend and current admissions and marketing associate for a Utah based detox facility. He is currently 4+ years sober after spending several years addicted to alcohol, heroin and other drugs and now works at a detox center providing others with the help that ultimately saved his life.

We talked about his initial use of stimulants which he took to aid in working long hours, and how it ultimately manifested into an opiate and meth addiction, the loss of friends, family and sense of himself. 

His story is raw and may be difficult to hear but one that we both feel should be shared with as many as possible. I really appreciate his willingness to share it in the detail he did and hope you enjoy it as well.
