Randy Stout, PhD. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and Director of the NYITCOM Center for Biomedical Innovation. Randy spends the majority of his time on neuroscience research in the laboratory that he runs and also helps teach the NYITCOM medical students neuroanatomy and neurobiology.
He is the younger brother to former guest, Warren Stout, and likewise wrestled from 5yrs old through college. He is a Blue belt in jiu jitsu taught by Sean Williams and also spent time as an amateur boxer in his youth.
We spoke about brain function, supplementation, sleep, head trauma and even touched on the possibility of simulation theory and his thoughts around the topic. z
